A proposal was made for Al-Rayyan Sports Club to significantly upgrade it, and accomodate a lot more indoor and outdoor facilities.
This development included the addition of two athletic tracks and fields, three football training fields, an indoor pool complex and a multipurpose hall. Tennis and squash courts were also included, in addition to car parking and landscaping. The indoor hall accomodates basketball, volleyball, handball, athletics, table tennis and swimming.
