Ras Abu Aboud stadium is one of the FIFA 2022 main stadiums. It boasts a wonderful waterfront location in the heart of Doha, a stone's throw from the city's museum and cultural district. Designed for 40,000 spectators, this stadium concept was based on an open design that allowed the waterfront location to penetrate right into the football field. The concept was brought out the strategic location on two main transportation axes - it being on the main road entering the city from the airport, as well as being adjacent to the historic city port - and from there the idea of travel and time grew.
